Livestream Jan 2 at 6:30PM US CST

Tonight, I’m hosting a livestream on the NBP YouTube channel – an open discussion with my friend and fellow photographer, Jimmy Gaglio.

Jimmy’s work has always stood out to me, blending a sharp eye for detail with a creative edge that constantly evolves. You can check out his work here: @jimmygfoto on Instagram.

The livestream will be all about the photography and retouching industry as we step into 2025. We’ll dive into what’s happening right now, what we think is on the horizon, and what both of us are working on. Of course, the rapid expansion of technology – particularly AI – will be a major talking point. AI tools have been making waves in photography and retouching workflows for years, but their influence is only going to deepen. The industry is at a crossroads, where the line between creative craftsmanship and automation is constantly being redrawn.

Jimmy and I will share our thoughts on how AI might shape everything from image processing to client expectations in the next few years. Will these tools simplify workflows without compromising artistic vision? Or will they tempt the industry into a creative homogeny where the human touch gets lost?

Beyond technology, we’ll reflect on our personal projects and goals. For me, the balance between innovation and artistry remains central – whether in the tools I develop with NBP or in my personal photography, where capturing raw, authentic moments continues to be my foundation.

If you’re part of the portrait, fashion, or retouching world, this conversation should resonate. As creatives, staying adaptable is key, whether that means embracing new tech or finding ways to push back when the tools threaten to overshadow the art.

Catch the livestream at 6:30 PM CST on the NBP YouTube channel. Bring your thoughts, questions, and let’s discuss where this wild ride might take us in 2025 and beyond.
