El Paso isn’t where I imagine doing much studio work these days. I've spent so much time in the studio over the past couple of years, I thought I'd leave it behind, at least for a while anyway. But, when something works, it works, and last weekend it just made sense.
I shot quick sets with Ash, Adriana, and Vivian at Railyard Studio, all against a simple white cyc wall. You might think I’d be ready to ditch the classic cyc after so much time in the studio recently, but when you’ve got great subjects and the setup works, the simplicity is refreshing. These were kinda fast-paced sessions, as we wrapped each set in just a few minutes. But hey, it worked!
While these quick shoots were fun and inspiring, I’m looking forward to November when I’ll have more time to dive deep into some larger, more focused projects. For now, though, I’m enjoying the ease and flow that comes with a quick, straightforward set. Sometimes it’s in these fleeting moments that come together the easiest.
