White Sands, New Mexico — there’s no place quite like it. I’ve written before about my love for this vast, surreal landscape, but returning always feels like the first time. The stretch of pure white gypsum dunes and endless horizons are unlike anywhere else on earth, and they provide a canvas that’s both challenging and inspiring. This time, I was joined by Lindsey Taylor Tierney, a frequent collaborator and a true friend in the world of art and photography.
Our first three sets together at White Sands were "fish in a barrel" easy. The light, the simplicity of the scenery, and Lindsey’s effortless ability to adapt made these sessions everything I’d envisioned -- her poses, expressions, and openness to experiment kept us both on our creative toes.
As the sun pounded down on me in a relentless manner, I found myself even more inspired by the contrast and shadows that unfolded over the dunes. It was a reminder of why I’m so drawn to this place. Each image we created feels like a piece of White Sands itself, with a story of creating and survival reall —vast, minimalist, and yet bursting with life. Lindsey brought the magic, and this place amplified it.

Can’t wait to share what more I captured there at White Sands.
